Aromatic perennials from dry habitats in North America and Mexico produce dense spikes of long lasting, small, lipped, tubular flowers from summer's beginning right into fall. Suitable in a perennial bed, herb garden or a mixed border, or allowed to naturalize, agastache also make exceptional container plants. They are drought tolerant and their winter hardiness tends to increase in dry soil.
Good in a children's garden, an excellent cut flower and useful as a tea herb. Beloved by butterflies, bees, hummingbirds and Nina. We usually have quite a few more varieties than are listed in the catalogue. Each variety bears a different scent.
We have had really good luck overwintering these in the garden or in pots stuck under the snow.
