Bold and dramatic foliage with extremely large leaves, which add a tropical feeling to the woodland garden. Panicles of creamy white flowers bloom June to September and are followed by masses of exceptionally beautiful purple-black fruit. This aralia is extremely hardy, tall, clump forming and will stand virtually any type of soil, as long as it is moist. It is also exceptionally shade-tolerant. Native to eastern Russia, Korea and northern China
